Use the key metrics table to:
- Analyze a specific segment's performance vs. all other sessions, at a glance.
- Compare any two segments' performance over key performance metrics (available on Pro and Enterprise plans).
Key Metrics
Quickly grasp the overall performance of your site with global KPIs based on the selected segments and device settings. Clicking on '?' icon next to each metric name to see more details.
- Number of sessions
- Conversion rate (available on Pro and Enterprise plans)
- Number of conversions (available on Pro and Enterprise plans)
- Revenue (available on Pro and Enterprise plans)
- Median cart per session (available on Pro and Enterprise plans)
- Average cart per session (available on Pro and Enterprise plans)
- Bounce rate
- Average page views
- Average session duration
Conversion metrics are tied to the chosen conversion goal, which doesn't have to be e-commerce-specific. You can use any desired goal to analyze sessions where a specific visitor behavior was achieved.

Note: Revenue, Median cart per conversion, and Average cart per session are displayed only on e-commerce projects.
Analyze a segment's performance
See if the segment’s performance is higher or lower than the performance of all other sessions.
1. Set your Analysis context including the segment, time period, and device you'd like to compare with "All other sessions" by default.
Customers on the Growth plan can analyze their segments performance by using Filters.
2. Click 'Apply & Quantify' and read the insight generated.
Note: The top line of the table shows the difference between the KPIs of your chosen segment compared to all other sessions. It's color-coded for quick reference: green means better performance, while red means worse.
Note: "All other sessions" reflect the "All users" traffic excluding the traffic coming from the selected segment and on the same device(s) of the selected segment.
Compare segments
Compare segments is available for customers on Pro and Enterprise plans.
In your Analysis context, click Compare to compare any two segments. Assess which segment performs better over key metrics.
Example: The difference in conversion rates between segment A and segment B is 12%
Watch a replay
To jump into Session Replay and drill down further into the issues spotted, click the Play button in the Key Metrics section corresponding to the segment you wish to investigate further.
An embedded player pop up will open, displaying a clip that matches the settings of the selected segment.
