Manually adding the code to your website
1. Ensure your platform is compatible with Contentsquare.
Contentsquare works with most website creation platforms. If you aren’t sure if your platform can be used with Contentsquare, see our guide on Platforms and Frameworks Not Compatible with Contentsquare.
2. Go to your Sites page.
3. Click 'Install tracking code' for the Site you want to track.
4. Click 'Copy' to copy the tag to your clipboard.
5. Share the code with your developer, or in your site's code 'paste' the copied tag between the <head> </head> tag.
Contentsquare works most accurately if the Contentsquare tag is inside the Head tag (<head> </head>) of every page you want to track.
6. Return to your Sites page in Contentsquare to verify the installation.
Once you have added the Contentsquare tag to your site, you will need to wait a few minutes for Contentsquare to check if it is installed correctly. This usually happens the moment your site is loaded with the Contentsquare tag on it, but there can be a delay before the tracking shows as Collecting data.
