This article is for customers on our Free and Growth plans.
Before you begin
-
Verify your WordPress plan, as the free WordPress.com site doesn't allow custom JavaScript, like the Contentsquare tag.
-
When installing the Contentsquare tag, you'll modify your website's local theme copy. Be aware that if the theme is updated or re-downloaded later, your changes may be lost.
-
The steps below assume your <head></head> tags are in the header.php file. If the <head></head> tags are not in that file, locate the file in your theme that contains these tags and apply the installation steps there.
-
If your WordPress site uses any caching plugins, you may have to clear your cache to make sure the Contentsquare tag is added to your site.
Installing the Contentsquare tag on your WooCommerce site
1. Copy your Contentsquare tag from inside Contentsquare.
2. On your WordPress Admin view, select Appearance and click Editor.
3. Open Header (header.php).
4. Just before the closing </head> tag, paste the Contentsquare tag.
5. Apply and save the changes.
Allow time for the installation to take effect, then verify the installation in Contentsquare.
