Segments are used module to filter data for a precise population.
To find the Segments module, go to 'Analysis setup' from the main menu and click on 'Segments' from the sub menu.
Segments Overview
1. Show results for All segments (you can order them by name or by last update.), my Segments (only the segments you created will be displayed), favorites (you can star your segments so you keep them in your favorites).
2. Search for a segment either by it's name, or the goal that was used to create it.
3. View all the segments created on your project, or filter to view a list of specific segments.
4. Create a new segment.
Creating Segments
You can create a new segment either in the Segments module, the Analysis context, or via Shortcuts. In the Segments module, click on "New segment".
1. Name for your segment
2.1 Select a condition from the drop-down list. Conditions can be:
- Goals (“Viewed product”, “Clicked cart”, etc.)
- Segments (“New users” or “Returning users”, “Bounce sessions” or “Non-bounce sessions”, etc.)
- Session attributes (“App version”, “Session duration”, “Number of sessions”, etc.)
- Visitor actions (“Exit screen”, “Viewed screen”, “Zone tapped”, etc.
2.2 Based on the condition you chose, select the segment, goal etc. in the drop-down list to refine your segment.
3. You can add several conditions to further specify your segment.
Once you click on "Create", your segment will appear in the main list of created segments, in your own segment list, and in your favorites if you stared it.
