Once you access Dashboards, you will see a default dashboard with both single value and line chart widgets. You can either edit these widgets or add a new dashboard. Here's how:
1. Click "Open dashboard list" from the top left - here you'll find all your dashboards, including those that were shared with you. You can also search for a dashboard or create a new one.
2. Select the type of dashboard you want to create:
- Fully customizable: build your own dashboard
- Site overview: a template with pre-filled most commonly used site-wide metrics
- Page group performance: a template with pre-filled most commonly used metrics
- Segment performance: to monitor the behaviors of specific segments
- Real User Monitoring: a template with pre-filled Core Web Vitals metrics
- Frustration Analysis: a template which allows you to deep dive into what is really causing frustration to your end-users.
Once your Dashboard is created, you can rename it by clicking on the default name given.
Site overview
A Site Overview dashboard is automatically filled with your essential site-wide metrics. You don't need to define or choose anything; the ready-to-use template makes it easy to monitor key metrics at a glance.
Page group performance
A Page performance dashboard is a dashboard that is automatically filled with recommended pages, metrics, segment and device. You only have to choose a mapping and the name of your dashboard.
1. Define the context
- Name your dashboard
- Select a mapping
- Select a segment
- Select a device
2. Select pages
Contentsquare recommends you the five (5) most visited pages of your mapping. You can edit them and add up to 10 pages.
3. Select metrics
Contentsquare proposes three (3) metrics by default, you can edit them and add up to six (6) metrics. All metrics are organized per category: Attractiveness, Interaction, Performance, ROI, and last used pushed at the top of the list to save you time.
4. Create Dashboards
Once you click 'Create this dashboard', it will instantly be filled with widgets for each of the selected pages:
Segment Performance
To create your segment performance template:
1. Name your dashboard
2. Define your segments (up to 8)
3. Select up to 10 metrics you want to associate with your segments.
- You will need to define the level of analysis (site, page or zone) and select the elements accordingly. (e.g. mapping, page, zoning and zone for a "zone" level analysis).
4. Click 'Add' and keep adding metrics or click on 'Create my dashboard' to automatically generate your dashboard with the segments and metrics selected.
Frustration Analysis
A Frustration Analysis dashboard template is automatically filled with widgets related to Frustration score and most impactful frustration factors. When creating the dashboard, simply define the analysis context by selecting a segment and scope to focus on (entire Site or a Page Group).

Real User Monitoring
A Real User Monitoring dashboard template is automatically filled with widgets related to your Core Web Vital metrics. When creating the dashboard, simply define the analysis context by selecting a segment and scope to focus on (entire Site or a Page Group).

Customizable dashboard
1. Go to the side panel
2. Click 'New dashboard'
3. Select 'Fully customizable'
4. Name your dashboard
5. Click 'Add widget' and build your dashboard from scratch by adding the widgets you want. Learn more about widgets in How to organize your dashboard.
