The Merchandising mode in CS Live gives you on-the-fly product performance KPIs at a zone-level. See what zones contain products with the highest "Add to cart rates" or "Revenue" using the extension while browsing your site.
If you do not already have the CS Live extension you can install it here.
Accessing Merchandising Mode
You can turn on the merchandising mode inside the CS Live banner - click on the drop-down menu on the left side of the metrics selector, and select ‘Merchandising’.
If you have several product catalogs, the first one in the list is automatically selected.
To switch your selected catalog:
- Click on the cogwheel icon
- Access ‘Project settings’
- Select the product catalog you want from the drop-down list.
Analyzing zones with merchandising mode
With the merchandising mode, you can deep dive into your product's performance within a certain zone by using the Zone Performance slide-in. Simply left-click on an existing zone, and the Zone Performance will open.
As inside the Visual Merchandising feature, Zone Performance contains:
- Metrics: A summary of the zones performance corresponding to your Analysis Context
- After click interactions: See what other products users who have interacted with the particular zone have clicked on or added to cart.

Zone performance depending on product: Get a list of specific zones and see how they’ve performed while certain products were displayed inside.
- You can search by product name, SKU or EAN.
- If the date doesn’t match, the data for the particular zone can be from when another product was displayed.
Creating new zones
If you need to create new zones while in merchandising mode, enable the edit mode:
Click on the pen icon, select either ‘single-zone’ or ‘multi-zone’ mode, and start creating your zones:
Share your insights
Using the ‘Export function’ inside the ‘Zone Performance’ slide-in, you can export the table as an excel file and share with your team.
