With Goals & Key events, you can create, define, and save user navigation events (view, click, hover, etc.) that happen on your site as goals.
Go to 'Analysis setup' from the main menu and click on 'Goals' from the sub menu.
What is a goal or key event?
A goal or key event is a user navigation event collected by the Contentsquare tag. When a user completes the navigation event you've selected when creating a goal or key event they “convert”, and increase that goal or key event's conversion rate.
Use goals or key events to:
- analyze the contribution of specific pages or zones to the completion of a goal
- study the behavior of segments (user populations) that have achieved this goal
There are three types of goals:
View | A user viewing a page of your site. View corresponds to "in-site" behaviors and track user navigation across your site. |
Click | A user clicking on an element of a page. Clicks correspond to "in-page" behaviors. They track user behavior on a specific page. |
Hover | A user moving their mouse over an element on a page. Hover corresponds to 'in-page' behaviors and track user goals on a specific page. |
