UX Theory vs User Reality
You can expect your users to take certain pathways based on your site but sometimes they can take unexpected journeys. Contentsquare can help you identify where users are veering off your carefully constructed paths and bridge the gap between theory and reality to create the best user experiences that drive conversion.

How to use Journey Analysis
1. Go to Journey Analysis
2. Watch this video to get a brief overview
3. Before you get started, always remember to use the analysis context menu at the top of the page to set your analysis to the correct site mapping, device, time period, and segment.
4. Learn how to read the Journey analysis visualization.
5. To understand where users are dropping off in your user journeys, use the Journey analysis visualization to analyze bounce rate.
6. Click on the 'Journeys after the Page' tab to visualize journeys after a specific page. This can help you take a closer look at specific parts (i.e. a check out flow) of a larger journey.
In the example above the user is exploring the journey users take after they reach the Cart page.
7. Another way to leverage the power of Journey analysis is to click 'Compare' to view two user journeys side-by-side. This can be useful for comparing user experiences across different segments or devices.
