See an overview of the User Scenario monitoring data and measure the performance of each scenario against UX metrics and technical performance indicators.
View your list of Scenarios
Navigate to Speed Analysis Lab and select 'Scenarios' from the main menu. There, you'll see a list of each of your monitored scenarios, with a summary of each one including:
- Scenarios grouped by action or status
- Need your attention: scenarios where the last execution failed
- Active: scenarios that are actively running
- Disabled: scenarios that have been disabled
- A summary for each scenario highlighting web vital results and success rates
- A 'more' (three-dot) menu where you can edit, create alerts, manage events, duplicate or disable the scenario
Access a Scenario report
Click on a scenario title to see the full monitoring results, including the following:
- The scenario's settings
- Averages and trends for performance indicators, including the Scenario's status
- Charts for the performance results
- Most frequent resources in error
See below for a breakdown of each of the available visualizations and actions on a monitored scenario.
Review, edit and execute the Scenario
Review and manage the configuration setup for your Scenario.
Use the buttons on the right to:
- Edit: your Scenario configuration
- Execute now: to execute the Scenario
- Three-dot menu: to create alerts, manage events, duplicate, or, deactivate the monitoring.
Select a time frame and line chart display
Use the date picker to select a time frame that you want to analyze data for, including how you want to display the aggregated data. Click the toggle to hide or display failed results in the data visualization.
Performance metrics: Averages and trends
See a summary of the average results of your Core Web Vitals for the selected time frame, alongside a percentage increase/decrease for each (compared to the same time frame before that).
Click the ‘Details’ button to jump to a more detailed view of the metric results, for each step.
Status of the monitored page
See the number of speed tests performed on the monitored page over the selected time frame, including a breakdown of the statuses (“OK”, “Alert”, “Check failed”, and “Failed/Errors”) detected across the total number of speed tests.
Click the 'Details' button to see the list of errors and failed executions.
Metrics monitoring
Visualize the data for your selected time frame with charts for:
- Performance metrics
- Page weight
- Number of requests
Managing your charts
You can manage the chart display and take further actions by checking/unchecking the legends you want to display and using the drop-down menus to further customize the charts.
View more chart details
Hover over any data points to view detailed information (if it is an aggregate, click to zoom in on the data. If the point is relative to a specific execution, click to open the related detailed report).
Investigate further
From the charts, you can click a data point of interest to dig deeper into what happened:
- View report: if the data point is relative to a specific execution, clicking this will open the related detailed execution report.
- Create event: Create an event to display on the Monitoring chart to help you reference a change or incident that happened on your site, so you can better identify any performance related impact.
Averages and trends by step table
See detailed averages of performance metrics over the selected time period, for each step of the Scenario.
Resources in error
View the most frequent resources in error during the configured time frame. Click the ‘Details’ button
