Page builder is a page creation menu in CS Live where you can select a page you want to analyze.
Page builder offers three ways to analyze a page in CS Live:
To access the page builder, click on 'Page'
Single URL
See data only for the current URL opened. Use it for a single-page analysis, for example, to analyze a specific blog page or a new promotional landing page.
Page on the fly
In case you don't have the right mapping ready to use, you can now create a new page by applying conditions on the fly.
Add conditions
To create a page on the fly, you can use either:
- Path/ Host/ Query condition that "contains", "doesn't contain", "matches exactly", etc. a certain value;
- Custom variables, where you will choose the key, a condition, and a value.
Preview URLs
To preview all the URLs falling under the conditions you applied, click on the number of URLs displayed in blue.
- You can apply up to 6 conditions to your Page on the fly
- Conditions need to match the current URL opened
- The new Page on the fly cannot be saved or edited later
Page from a mapping
Choose a page from the list of available mappings' pages that contain the current URL opened. Use it for a classic analysis with Contentsquare, for example, accessing aggregated data on all product pages.
How to select a page from a mapping?
1. Use page suggestions
After opening the "page from a mapping" tab, you will see a list with page suggestions that contain the current URL you're on.
2. Type the page's or the mapping's name in the search bar.
Then see the list with all the mappings that contain the page that you are searching for.
How to analyze Pageviews instead of Sessions
To analyze Pageviews instead of Sessions, use a segment in your Analysis Context based on the same page selected in the page builder. For now, the Analysis Context can only analyze sessions.
