Use Events on Monitorings and Scenarios to help you reference a change or incident that happened on your site, so you can better identify any performance related impact. Once created, Events display on your Monitoring and Scenario result graphs, helping you keep track of your site's performance alongside any "events" you want to keep note of.
How to create events
1. Go to 'Speed Analysis' and select 'Monitoring' or 'Scenarios' (depending on where you want to add your event).
2. Click the three-dot menu icon for any listed Monitoring or Scenario (or on one you've opened already), followed by 'Manage events'.
Tip: Create events directly from graphs
You can also create new events directly from a Monitoring or Scenario graph by clicking on a data point and selecting 'Create event'.
4. Define the new event details:
- Name: Give your new event a name for you to easily identify (must be unique).
- Description: Give a brief description of the event to help you and others understand its meaning.
- Date and time: Select a date and time that the event occurred.
- Global to all your monitors: Set the toggle to 'on' if you want the event to display across all your monitors.
4. Click 'Add this event'.
Event display
- Use the 'Show' button to select whether you want events to display or not.
- The event will be shown on your monitoring and scenario graphs as a blue vertical line. Hover over it to display the detailed information.
