How it's calculated
The average number of seconds between when our tag is loaded and the first tap on the zone, for pageviews with at least one tap on the zone.
How to interpret it
Time before first tap lets you analyze how long it takes, on average, before a user taps on a zone. This can be useful when e.g. analyzing a form, to see in which order users tend to fill out the form fields.
Low Time before first tap
A low Time before first tap can also indicate attractiveness. If a zone has a low Time before first tap it shows that users tend to tap on that zone early during their visit, meaning that they are quickly drawn to it.
High Time before first tap
A high Time before first tap can mean that users aren't interested in the content, or that the zone has low visibility. However, this depends on the context of the zone- a cart CTA may have a high Time before first tap because users didn't visit the cart until they finished looking through the available products.
These rooms are featured on the homepage of a hotel site. This display has some of the lowest Time Before First Tap on the page, indicating that the content is attractive and engaging to users.
