Shortcuts allow you to move seamlessly through your analysis and view key information at a glance.
Use Funnel Shortcuts to:
- Create segments based on the flow of users going through a particular stage of the funnel
- Add your funnel to Dashboards and monitor the funnel performance over time
- Export and share your funnel details as a .CSV file or URL link for internal reports and sharing with colleagues
- Jump directly to Session replay to investigate the step drop-offs and visualize your users' struggle
How to create a segment
This feature is available on our Pro and Enterprise plans only.
You can create a segment based on the flow of users going through a particular stage of the funnel.
Example: Users that navigated from the Product page to the Cart Detail page.
1. To display the Shortcuts menu options, hover over the funnel stage you are interested in.
2. Select 'Create a segment' option in the menu that opens.
3. Name the segment and click the option that suits your analysis needs. You can select to:
- 'Quantify' and get redirected to the 'Impact;
- 'Create' the segment and save it to your list of existing segments
- 'Create and Apply' your segment. By choosing this option you can select the capability you want your segment to be applied in to (Journey analysis, Page Comparator, Zoning Analysis, Session Replay)

How to go to Session Replay
To jump into Session Replay, hover over the funnel stage you are interested in and select the 'See in Session Replay' option:
You will be automatically redirected to Session Replay list with the Analysis context matching your analysis.
Ex. Hovering over the Step drop off section shows dropped sessions' replays, while hovering over the Step completion section shows replays of sessions that progressed to the next step of the funnel.
Step drop off vs. site exit (Pro and Enterprise plans only)
Differentiate dropped funnel sessions from site exits by hovering over the shaded area of each step bar and selecting the 'Step drop off details' button. Then, select the See in Session replay option.
In the menu that opens, select to watch replays of the sessions that:
- Dropped from the funnel (without differentiating between step drop off and site exit)
- Dropped from the funnel (but have not left the site)
- Exited the site
If you’re analyzing funnels in a comparison mode (feature available on Pro and Enterprise plans), hover over the bar that represents the segment you are interested in and follow the same steps as above:
How to add your funnel to the Dashboards
Once your Funnel is created, you will see a 'Add to dashboard' button displayed on the top right-hand corner of the funnel visualization:
Click on 'Add to dashboard' and choose to which dashboard (if you have multiple) you'd like to add it to. Your funnel will instantly be created and displayed on a widget in the dashboard you chose. You can still edit it anytime.

How to share your funnel analysis
You can share you funnel analysis by:
- Exporting you funnel analysis as a .CSV file (available on Pro and Enterprise plans only)
- Sharing your funnel analysis through an URL link
1. To export your funnel details, click the share icon right next to the 'Add to dashboard' CTA and click on the 'Export as CSV' option.
2. To share the current funnel analysis and its configuration, select 'Copy funnel sharing link'.
Using Shortcuts from the Breakdown table
In the Breakdown table you can:
- Create a segment of the flow of users going through a particular step of the Funnel
- Jump to Session Replay and rewatch sessions with users navigating through the selected step in the Funnel
How to create a Segment from the Breakdown table
Segment creation in funnels is available on Pro and Enterprise plans only.
1. Go to the Breakdown table by scrolling down the screen.
2. Locate the funnel stage you are interested in, and click the '...' more options button.
3. Select the 'Create a segment' option in the menu that opens.
4. Name the segment and click the option that suits your analysis needs (Quantify, Create or Create and Apply).
5. Once created, you can use the segment in all other Contentsquare features.
How to go to Session Replay from the Breakdown table
1. Locate the stage of the funnel you are interested in and click on the player icon.
2. After the menu opens, follow the same steps as above.
