Benchmark allows you to track and compare the performance of your important user experience metrics with your industry peers. It presents a dashboard that includes various sections to show you how these measurements have changed over time and how they compare to other websites.

How to use Benchmarks
1. Select 'Benchmarks' from the main menu.
2. Use the analysis context to set your analysis parameters (time period, device, segments).
How to interpret Benchmarks data
The data is represented by two different types of metric cards:
Single-value metrics
Conversion rate
The Conversion rate metric represents the number of sessions during which an e-commerce transaction was completed.
In the single-value card you can:
1. See the conversion rate of your site
2. Look at the gap in percentages between the conversion rate of your site and your peers'
3. Get the average conversion rate for the competition
4. Get the average conversion rate of the 25% most performing industry peers
5. Get to the Trends and Insights section of the report where you can get the evolution of each of the metrics over time and a summary of the main insights of the competitor analysis
Bounce rate
The Bounce rate metric represents the ratio between users who entered the site and left it without having seen a second page and all users.
In the single-value card you can:
1. See the bounce rate of your site
2. Look at the gap in percentages between the bounce rate of your site and your peers'
3. Get the average bounce rate for the competition
4. Get the average bounce rate of the 25% most performing industry peers
5. Get to the Trends and Insights section of the report where you can get the evolution of each of the metrics over time and a summary of the main insights of the competitor analysis
Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
LCP reports the render time of the largest visible content (e.g., image or text block). It's an average for all pages in the page groups. The metric is part of Core Web Vitals. Safari, Firefox, and IOS devices currently do not support LCP.
In the single-value card you can:
1. See the load time of your site
2. Look at the gap in percentages between the load time of your site and your peers'
3. Get the average load time for the competition
4. Get the average load time of the 25% most performing industry peers

Session time
Session time shows the average time spent from entry to the site to site exit for each session.
In the single-value card you can:
1. See the session time of your site
2. Look at the gap in percentages between the session time of your site and your peers'
3. Get the average session time for the competition
4. Get the average session time of the 25% most performing industry peers
5. Get to the Trends and Insights section of the report where you can get the evolution of each of the metrics over time and a summary of the main insights of the competitor analysis
Average cart
Average cart amount is calculated by dividing the total revenue by the number of transactions.
In the single-value card you can:
1. See the average cart of your site
2. Look at the gap in percentages between the average cart of your site and your peers'
3. Get the average cart value for the competition
4. Get the average cart amount of the 25% most performing industry peers
5. Get to the Trends and Insights section of the report where you can get the evolution of each of the metrics over time and a summary of the main insights of the competitor analysis
Views per session
Views per sessions metric shows average number of times a page was viewed during a session.
In the single-value card you can:
1. See the views per session of your site
2. Look at the gap in percentages between the views per session of your site and your peers'
3. Get the average views per session for the competition
4. Get the average views per session of the 25% most performing industry peers
5. Get to the Trends and Insights section of the report where you can get the evolution of each of the metrics over time and a summary of the main insights of the competitor analysis
Frustration score
The Frustration score shows the level of frustration encountered by the user while browsing on a particular pageview, based on friction indicators. The higher the score, the more frustration the user experienced.
In the single-value card you can:
1. See the Frustration score of your site
2. Look at the gap in percentages between the Frustration score of your site and your peers'
3. Get the average Frustration score for the competition
4. Get the average Frustration score of the 25% most performing industry peers
5. Get to the Trends and Insights section of the report where you can get the evolution of each of the metrics over time and a summary of the main insights of the competitor analysis
Traffic distribution metrics
Traffic distribution
The traffic distribution metric represents the percentage of users who navigated your site for the first time on a specific device vs. the percentage of visitors who have visited your site before.
In the traffic distribution card you can:
1. See a pie chart showing the traffic distribution on your site
2. See a pie chart showing the traffic distribution data of the competition
New vs. returning users
The new vs returning users distribution shows the percentage split between new and returning visitors

How to analyze performance
To easily compare your performance with that of your industry peers, each card and key performance indicator (KPI) is associated with a color code for quick reference.
Four colors correspond to four different comparison statuses:

How to use Trends & Insights
Trends & Insights details the evolution of each of the competitive metrics on key pages of your site over time, accompanied by a summary of the key insights.
You can access Trends & Insights two different ways:
- Click the 'Details' button at the top right corner of the metrics cards at top of your report you want to view Trends & Insights for.
- Scroll down the page to access Trends & Insights.
Trends & Insights overview
Line charts detail the progression of key metrics over time.6
1. Metric name and summary of the set conditions in the Analysis context
2. Your metric value and a highlighted gap with your industry peers
3. Metric rate evolution. The line graph showcases the curve of your metric, along with the distribution range of your peers' data and the metric value for your top-performing industry peers. The dotted blue line represents the average value of the competition.
4. Observation. The insights provided are derived from the parameters set in the Analysis context, showcasing your current position and that of your peers for the selected period. These insights will help you better understand how your performance compares to theirs during the specified timeframe.
5. Competitive progression. The insights are based on the parameters set in the Analysis context and represent the metric change in percentage for the selected period. This information helps you understand the degree of change in the metric and evaluate the performance during the specified timeframe.
6. 'See split by traffic source' CTA that brings you to a side panel that helps you to analyze the trend of each metric split by traffic source.
How to share Benchmarks report insights
To share your Benchmarks dashboard you can:

Share a link to the current Benchmarks dashboard along with its configuration. The link will anchor the users you are sharing your analysis with, allowing them to directly access and view that particular section.

Download your Benchmarks visualizations as an image and insert them in your presentations and internal reports.
To Export Benchmarks:
1. Click on the Share option at the top of the Benchmarks report or on any of the Page-level insights and select 'Export as images (.png)'.
2. A modal will open, and you'll be able to select the details you want to export. You can choose to export the following details:
- Metrics at a glance
- Conversion rate
- Bounce rate
- Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
- Session time
- Average cart
- Views per session
- Frustration score
Note! If you click on the 'Share' CTA on any of the individual graphs or the 'Metrics at a glance' section, the image will automatically download.
3. After you've made your selection, click on 'Export as 1 whole image'
