Common use cases for alert tracking
Acquisition and Campaigns
Setting up alerts to monitor acquisition traffic and campaigns allows you to effortlessly track key metrics like conversion rates and click-through rates. This enables you to optimize your marketing efforts, make data-driven decisions, and maximize ROI.
Here some of the KPIs to set alerts on:
- Bounce rate
- Number of visits on page + per traffic source
- Conversion rate of the page (next step for i.e. "reached PDP")
- Click rate & engagement rate on main campaign
Example of the alerts set up for monitoring campaign performance: Site-wide Bounce rate, Number of sessions on the 'Campaign page' per traffic source (Email and SEA), Conversion rate per goal (Goal='Create an account' CTA) for the 'Campaign page', Activity rate on the 'Campaign page', Click rate (pageview level) on the 'Buy now' CTA on the 'Campaign page', Engagement rate on the 'Buy now' CTA on the 'Campaign page'.
Tip. Use the shortcuts to duplicate an existing alert to quickly change the parameters for similar types of alerts (e.g., alerts on the multiple traffic sources for the same page).
