You enable the in-app feature Snapshot Capture by scanning a QR code with your phone's camera or a QR code scanner. The QR code is found inside the Contentsquare app.
Activating via Smartphone Camera
1. Click on the phone icon to the left of your project's name. This opens a pop-up with the QR code you need inside.
2. Scan the QR code with your phone:
- Click on the notification that appears at the top of your screen - this will redirect you to your app.
3. Inside your app you'll land on the onboarding screen, where you'll see an image of the in-app features icon, and short instructions on how to use it.
- Click 'Got it!' to exit the onboarding screen.
Note for Android
Make sure the app is launched on your mobile before scanning the QR Code. Additionally, you should note that not all camera apps or QR code reader apps are able to read deeplink QR (many of them are limited to URL).
If your camera app or QR code reader app is not working with in-app features, we recommend using QR & Barcode Reader by TeaCapps.

How to deactivate in-app features
To deactivate in-app features:
- Long-press on the snapshot/camera button to open the settings
- Then click on Disable in-app features
Troubleshoot: QR code activation is not working
If In-apps features are not launching, check the following prerequisites:
Is Contentsquare SDK 4.0 or above integrated in your app?
1. Check the app ID of the application on your smartphone (Ask a developer if you don’t have access to the logs)
2. Select the matching app ID in the in-app features drop-down menu, to display the right QR code and link.
3. 3. A new QR code is generated. You are ready to scan.
1. Install a version of the app with snapshot mode available.
2. Open the app and enable snapshot mode.
3. The snapshot button appears, and you can start to take snapshots.
