This article explains how to save zones you create in CS Live to the Zoning capability in the Contentsquare platform. Once saved, your analysis is permanently stored and accessible to your entire team for ongoing tracking, reporting, and collaboration.
PII is not masked in snapshots captured using CS Live.
When capturing snapshots using CS Live, personally identifiable information (PII) is not masked. This differs from snapshots taken from Session Replay, where anonymization is applied as the data is captured automatically. Ensure you're capturing only the data you intend to, especially if it includes sensitive information.
Step One: Create zones on your page
Before saving, create the zones you want to track:
- Click the Zone button in the CS Live ribbon
- Select Single zones or Multi-zones
- Hover over elements and click the colored frames to create zones
- Repeat for all elements you want to save
Step Two: Save zones
Click on the 'More actions' icon [...] in the ribbon.
Select 'Save to Contentsquare'.
- You'll see two options: Create a new Zoning or Add to an existing Zoning.
Create a new zoning
Saves all your zones AND a screenshot of the current page view. Use this when starting a new analysis or analyzing a page for the first time
Add to an existing zoning
Saves only a screenshot of the current page view not zones. Use this when adding another page view or time period to existing analysis.
Select the zoning from the dropdown menu.
- Your screenshot is added to that zoning's screenshot library.
Step Three: Save your Zoning
- Click 'Save'.
- A success message appears confirming your zones and snapshot were saved.
Click Open zoning in the success message to view it in the platform (opens in a new tab).
Note
Your zoning doesn't open automatically. You must click the link in the success message or navigate to it manually in the platform.
