What is Zoning summaries?
Zoning Summaries is a Sense capability that uses Generative AI to help explain your Heatmap and Zoning data, reducing the time it takes to gain actionable insights. This feature works directly within Sense Chat, so you can generate a summary and immediately ask follow-up questions to dig deeper into specific areas.

With Zoning Summaries you can:
- Get instant explanations of your Heatmap and Zoning data without needing to interpret metrics yourself.
- Understand user behavior across different areas (zones) of your page—which sections get the most attention and which are being overlooked.
- Receive actionable recommendations on what to improve, where to test changes, or which elements to optimize.
- Ask follow-up questions in Sense Chat to explore patterns, compare zones, or understand specific behaviors in more detail.
How to use Zoning Summaries to understand page performance
Before you begin
Important: To access Zoning AI Summaries, the AI Schedule must be part of your contract with Contentsquare or accepted by an Admin user on your account. Learn more about how to activate Sense capabilities.
Step One: Generate an Analysis summary

Navigate to ‘Zoning Analysis’ in your Contentsquare platform.

Open an existing Analysis or create a new one.

Select either Zoning or Heatmap view (choose the one that fits your analysis needs).

In the Zoning panel (located to the right of your Zoning/Heatmap) click ‘Analysis Summary’. (You may need to scroll down this panel).

Sense Chat will open automatically and analyze your Heatmap/ Zoning data. Your summary will appear directly in the Sense Chat panel with clear, organized insights.
Step Two: Understand your Analysis summary
When your summary is generated, it will include two main sections:
Key insights: This section explains what is happening on your page. You will see:
- Engagement patterns: Which zones have high user interaction and which have low interaction
- User behavior: How users are navigating through different areas of your page
- Performance highlights: Areas that are performing well or underperforming compared to expectations
- Attention distribution: Where users are focusing their attention most
Recommended actions: This section offers guidance on potential improvements. ou will see:
- Optimization opportunities based on the patterns identified in your data.
- Content adjustments.
- Testing ideas.
Step Three: Ask follow up questions
Once your Analysis Summary is generated in Sense Chat, you can:
- Ask questions about specific zones or engagement patterns
- Request deeper analysis of particular metrics
- Get additional recommendations for optimization
- Explore "what if" scenarios based on your data

I don't know who the Admin users are on my account, how can I find out?
