Page on the fly
If you are looking to zone a URL with a specific query string. then you should use Page On The Fly option, instead of the Single URL.
With Page On The Fly, you can set the appropriate query condition in conjunction with host and path conditions to specify the desired URL(s).
Single URL
If you create a new zoning and choose the Single URL option when selecting a page, then you will see a tooltip that indicates "All queries are included"-
What does this mean for the analysis?
Essentially, it means that queries on that URL are being ignored.
If you try to create a zoning for www.example.com/catalog?q=item10 then the data in the analysis will correspond to www.example.com/catalog and will include the data coming from www.example.com/catalog?q=iphone and any other queries.
The zoning data will not be specific to the query that the user entered.
In other words, if a user enters www.example.com/catalog?q=item10 then it will get exactly the same result as the user who enters www.example.com/catalog.
