Categorize your dashboards
Creating and assigning categories requires owner rights of a dashboard, if you can't see this option, check with your account admin.
Categories help you label and group your dashboards so they're easier to find. You can choose from categories that already exist, or create your own.
- Go to the 'Dashboards' list page.
-
Hover over the category column (of the dashboard you want to categorize) and click '+ Add category'.
-
Select an existing category from the dropdown, or type a new category name and click '+ Add category' to create it.
- Click 'Save' to apply the category to your dashboard.
Your dashboard will now appear under that category and can be filtered by it in your dashboard list.
Filter and sort your dashboard list
Filtering and sorting help you cut through the noise and find exactly what you need, without scrolling through your entire list.
Filtering options
- Category: Show only dashboards belonging to a specific category
- Owner: Filter by the person who created the dashboard
- Quick filters: use ready-made filters for common views like Last edited, Favorites, and Shared with me
Sorting options
By default, your list shows favorite dashboards first, followed by the most recently updated. Click any column header to sort ascending or descending.
Tip: Click the star icon next to a dashboard name to mark it as a favorite. It will always appear at the top of the list.
FAQs
1. Is it possible to get automatic email updates from a Dashboard?
No, for automatic email updates about your metrics you will need to create Alerts. (Alerts requires Pro or Enterprise plans). Alerts allow you to get proactively notified to any changes in your metrics, notifying you of any variations that occurred in the last 24 hours.
2. How do I find dashboards that have been shared with me?
Use the Shared with me quick filter in your dashboards list. It'll show every dashboard you've been given access to, regardless of who owns it.
