How to create an A/B Testing Dashboard
Note
Before using this feature, you must have an A/B Testing integration installed. Read more about integrations in the Help Center.
Create your A/B Testing Dashboard by following these steps:
- Navigate to the Dashboard capability.
- Select the A/B Testing widget template.
- Follow the on-screen required steps, such as adding a name to your Dashboard, selecting your test from the dropdown menu, and adding other information as the link to the page of your website.
- Finally, click on 'Create my Dashboard'.
Tip
Use the shortcut in your newly created Dashboard to create a Zoning Analysis in compare mode, with automatic Analysis Context setup including the right zonings and variant segments. Read more about Zoning Analysis and A/B Testing in this article
Dashboard features
Automatic Segment Creation
The dashboard automatically creates segments using A/B test dynamic variable keys and values, while ensuring user acknowledgment to build data trust:
- Edit segment names as needed
- Choose which variation serves as the Control version
- Segments are automatically configured to target the right metrics, pages, and audiences
Widget Configuration
- For 2 variations: One widget per variation displaying performance metrics.
- For 3 variations: Widgets are set to "Compare" mode across the Control version and each variant.
- All widgets automatically target relevant metrics, segments, and pages.
Comparison mode
Comparison mode provides unique insights into the drivers of variant success through comprehensive metrics and easy access to segments by page or goal.
Site-Level Analysis
Your Dashboard automatically compares up to 3 variations simultaneously, allowing you to analyze:
- Global test metrics at the site level.
- Performance over the entire test period.
- Cross-variant comparisons in real-time.
Metrics Available:
- Site-wide metrics: Conversion rate, bounce rate, views per visit.
- Page-level metrics: Activity rate, time spent on page, and reach rate.
- Zone-level metrics: Click rate, conversion rate per click, exposure rate.
Tip
You can choose Conversion Rate (CVR) as the default goal or select a custom goal via single-value widgets.

Setting Up for Success:
- Ensure accurate variant naming in your A/B testing tool for easy identification.
- Keep segment names short for dropdown list clarity.
- Define clear KPIs and goals before dashboard creation.
- Set up proper zoning for granular analysis.
Ongoing Monitoring:
- Use the dashboard to monitor primary and secondary KPIs.
- Compare performance across different devices and segments.
