Introduction to Error Analysis

This feature requires Experience Monitoring, available on Enterprise plans, or as an add-on on Pro plans.

Error Analysis is a core capability of Digital Experience Monitoring, helping you surface both technical and non-technical errors on your website (and mobile app, if applicable). Error Analysis is used by both non-technical and technical teams to understand and fix the most impactful errors affecting your site.

Error Analysis for web projects allows you to set up and monitor:

  • JavaScript errors
  • API errors
  • Custom errors

 

What you can do with Error Analysis

Using Error Analysis can help you reduce user frustration, increase conversions and prioritize your efforts by:

  • Pinpointing and understanding the errors having the most impact on user experience or the business
  • Identifying the significance and root cause of the error so you can easily prioritize it for troubleshooting or an immediate fix
  • Proactively monitoring errors over time to get ahead of any changes that could negatively impact your site

Key features of Error Analysis

  • Top error and page impact widgets: Multiple widgets to help you prioritize your efforts, by surfacing the top errors impacting your traffic and business, and the pages being affected the most.
  • Analysis refinement: Features that allow you to focus your analysis. Define your analysis context (device type, date range and segment), set your scope (full website or page group), and apply filters to further narrow your results.
  • Sense Chat: Use Contentsquare's AI on Error Analysis to ask Sense questions about errors, performance issues and opportunities to optimize your site.
  • Error Summaries: AI generated summaries available for each error that help you quickly understand what an error is about and the impact it’s having.
