There are a few issues that can cause CS Live and Zoning Analysis to display conflicting data:
- You are analyzing different URLs
- Your Analysis Context settings don't match (time period, segment, device)
- You are analyzing different projects
How to prevent data discrepancies
Verify you are analyzing the same URLs
- CS Live's zoning feature takes into account the current URL you are visiting as the default value. This means that if you go to a specific URL and open CS Live for analysis, the default page will be the same single URL you are on. It is important to verify if the zoning in the platform is also using a single URL or a page group from a mapping.
Example: If you are analyzing the performance of a specific webpage using CS Live, the zoning will be based on that specific URL. However, if the zoning in the platform is based on a page group from a mapping, there may be a discrepancy in the data.
Make sure your Analysis Context conditions match
- Setting different Analysis Context conditions on your CS Live analysis than you set in Zoning Analysis can create data discrepancies. By having consistent settings, you can effectively compare and analyze the data. This includes the same device type, mapping or page group, date range, and conditions.
Example: If you are analyzing the performance of a webpage on a specific device type using CS Live, make sure that the zoning in the platform is also based on the same device type. If there is a mismatch in the device type settings, it can lead to differences in the data.
Confirm you have selected the correct project
- If your account has multiple projects, make sure you have selected the correct project for the URL you are analyzing. To switch projects, you can click the '⚙️ Settings' icon in the CS Live ribbon to view your currently selected project and switch between them. This ensures that you are looking at the data from the right project and avoids any confusion or discrepancies.
